Karnataka is a state in south western region of India. Karnataka is bordered by the Arabian Sea to the west, Goa to the northwest, Maharashtra to the north, Telangana to the northeast, Andhra Pradesh to the east, Tamil Nadu to the southeast, and Kerala to the south. It is the only southern state to have land borders with the other entire 4 southern Indian sister states. Karnataka economy is largely service oriented and income from the sector contributes half the state’s GDP with the agricultural and the industrial sector contributing to nearly 25% each. Molakalmuru sarees, Channapatna toys and dolls, Dharwad pedha and Monsooned Malabar Robusta Coffee are some of the well-known GI products of Karnataka.
